Koblenzgold have been in the exploration of gold for the past 18 years and up to date the records are clear that Ghana is under explored for gold. We have been managing our sites in all the major occurrence of gold deposits at Tarkwa, Bibiani, Teberebie and Iduapriem, and some other discoveries of new deposits at Ayamfuri, Obotan, Wassa, Damang, Nkawkaw, Kenyase, Ntronang- Abrem areas which all goes to demonstrate the gold potential of Ghana. Our future expansion plans are to establish significant sites within the six major gold belts namely Kibi- Winneba, Ashanti Sefwi, Bui, Bole- Nangodi and the Lawra belt.

Over the years we have been involved mainly in small-scale mining essentially in an artisanal or small industrial form of raw material extraction. In Ghana, small-scale mining constitutes a major source of employment especially for gold and diamonds, and contribute some foreign exchange for Ghana.

In 1989 when the Government of Ghana regularized small-scale gold mining operations in the country, ever since then Koblenzgold have positively contributed extensively along with other small scale miners in saving the nation of up to 60,000 to 80,000 ounces of gold hitherto produced which would not have been produced annually.

An initiative was taken in April 1989 when PMMC was charged with the responsibility of promoting small scale gold mining in the country as well as purchasing some of the gold produced. PMMC has since purchased about 600,000 ounces of gold worth US$200 mil lion under the small-scale mining sector.

The Company has licensed about 750 local Gold Buyers who operate in mining communities in the country to purchase gold. Koblenzgold is proudly amongst the first set of appointed agents to both sell its production and buy from other local small miners. We operate from our Head Office in Accra and branches in Tarkwa, Kumasi and administrative centers in all our mining sites.
